Just a reminder to make sure you have the proper shelter for all of your fur friends that are outside in this cold weather.  Inside is best, but for those who can’t have their pets inside please make sure they are safe and warm this winter.

Are these all the dogs that are available or just the ones at the shelter?
Do you have pictures of the ones that are in foster homes?

Troy is back from his foster. You can come down and meet him during visiting hours. They are Mon – Sat noon – 5:00 pm. Sunday noon – 4:30.

He is not neutered but his shots are up to date. I do believe he is hound mix. Call the shelter and they can look it up on his paperwork.

Hey Guys, I was wondering if you offer any assistance on helping cats get spayed. We’re low of funds right now, but she’s miserable and is annoying other people in the house with the constant meowing.

    • manger says:

Yes we do. We have a low income spay and neuter program. You can call the SPCA at 814-362-8850 and we can mail you the forms or you can stop down and fill them out.

Is Scooter still available? He looks like a rat terrier. Does anyone know what breed he is? I see he is not neutered from a post above. Isn’t that the policy that he has to be before he leaves? Also, is he good with other dogs? Thanks!

    • manger says:

Yes he still is. If you go down you can see him and many other wonderful dogs. He is not neutered. The policy is that the animal be neutered within 30 days of adoption or if it is a young animal it must be spayed or neutered by 6 months of age. The shelter can’t afford to get every animal spayed or neutered although they are doing their best to get as many done as possible to make it easier for them to be adopted.
